Sole Community Platform – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Sole Community Platform (“Platform”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully, as they form a legal agreement between you (“Member”) and Sole App Pty Ltd (“Sole”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. Definitions
  • Platform – the Sole Community website and related services.
  • Member – any individual who registers for and uses the Platform.
  • Marketplace – the section of the Platform where Members may list their services, offers, or promotions.
  • Groups and Events – community spaces and activities created by Members or moderators.
  • Content – any posts, comments, listings, messages, images, or other material submitted by a Member.
  • Sponsored Listings – paid advertising, promoted content, or premium listings that Sole may introduce in the future.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to register.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating a profile.
  • Sole reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details and all activity under their account.
  • Profile pictures and details may be displayed throughout the Platform, including in feeds, comments, events, groups, and marketplace listings.
  • Members must not impersonate another person, business, or entity.

To keep the Platform safe and supportive, Members must not:

  • Post unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, or misleading content.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten others.
  • Share confidential information without consent.
  • Post spam, multi-level marketing, or unsolicited advertisements outside the Marketplace.
  • Upload or promote illegal products or services.
  • Attempt to scrape, harvest, or misuse Platform data.
  • Sole may remove Content or suspend accounts at its discretion without notice.
  • Members retain ownership of the Content they create.
  • By posting Content, Members grant Sole a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and promote that Content within the Platform.
  • Sole may remove or edit Content that breaches these Terms.
  • The Marketplace allows Members to create listings for their services and offers.
  • Sole does not endorse or guarantee any products or services listed.
  • Sole does not process payments; all transactions occur off the Platform.
  • Members are solely responsible for complying with applicable laws, including consumer law, advertising rules, and tax obligations.
  • Sole is not liable for disputes, refunds, product defects, or misrepresentations between Members.
  • Members may create or join industry groups and events.
  • Event organisers are responsible for legal compliance, including workplace, health, and safety requirements for physical events.
  • Sole may moderate or remove groups or events that breach community standards.
  • The Platform may display leaderboards (weekly, monthly, all-time) based on activity such as posts and comments.
  • Voting features (e.g. “Sole Mate of the Month”) are for community engagement and may be moderated by Sole.
  • Sole may, at its discretion, introduce rewards or prizes for leaderboard or voting participation. Any such rewards will be subject to separate terms.
  • Direct messaging and chat features are for professional networking and community discussions.
  • Members must not use messaging for harassment, spam, or unsolicited sales outside of Marketplace rules.
  • Sole may collect usage data (e.g. posts, comments, engagement metrics) to improve services, generate insights, and monitor community health.
  • Data handling is subject to Sole’s Privacy Policy.
  • Sole may in future offer paid advertising, sponsored posts, or premium listings.
  • Sponsored listings will be clearly disclosed, and additional terms may apply.
  • The Platform, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by Sole and protected by intellectual property law.
  • Members must not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the Platform.
  • The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
  • Sole makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, availability, or reliability of the Platform or Member Content.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sole is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform or Marketplace.
  • Members may close their account at any time.
  • Sole may suspend or terminate accounts immediately if a Member:
    • Breaches these Terms.
    • Engages in unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful conduct.
    • Harms the community or Platform integrity.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Platform, features, or legal requirements. Significant updates will be notified to Members. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
